The 11+ process is a daunting process for the whole family and having been through this twice now for our son then daughter, we realise that we have been extremely lucky to have had Myles Tutors as part of our team to navigate this process on both occasions and help develop our children to reach their full potential. We have known the company since 2016 following a recommendation from a close friend and they have tutored our son and then our daughter, for their 11+ private school exams while they attended our local primary school. To say that our tutor was a key asset during this whole process is something of an understatement. It is not just her first class tutoring that they had to offer, which at the outset I perhaps had valued, but in hindsight the way they were able to adapt her approach to two very different children to challenge them and also build their confidence where and when needed, to ensure they develop to their full potential. Our tutor was responsible for a referral of our daughter, after only her second session, leading to a clear dyslexia diagnosis (which may have never been forthcoming from the school who were adamant there was no reason to refer). CM became my son’s tutor at the end of year 5 and through her very extensive knowledge of all the secondary schools and their various examinations processes my son succeeded in securing places at 6 independent schools and a London grammar school. She very quickly developed a wonderful partnership with my son by really understanding his personality and ability. My son really looked forward to his sessions with her and described her as kind, smiley, encouraging and very good at explaining the work that he didn’t understand. With my eldest son, we did a mixture of both face to face sessions and skype sessions, both of which worked very well. Recently my 7-year-old son has started skype only sessions with our tutor and through her excellent approach, he is able to focus and has engaged well during these online learning sessions. He is a very different personality from my eldest son but he too is really enjoying learning and his confidence has really increased. Due to our tutor's weekly detailed feedback, we now have a much clearer sense of my son’s learning needs and his strengths which is so reassuring.

I wanted to my daughter to get at least a grade B in her Maths GCSE but she was at D grade level in her mock exams. I arranged for a tutor from Myles Tutors to see her once a week and he was excellent. I sought tuition from Myles Tutors as I wanted my son to transfer from a state primary to a private preparatory school at 8+. As my son has only been in England for a few years, I was worried his academic options would be limited. We wanted our daughter to have the best possible chance when sitting 11+ entrance exams so we sought advice and tuition from a recommended tutor. From the start, our tutor had invaluable knowledge and insight into the UK's best private schools. After an initial assessment, our tutor guided both my daughter and ourselves through the necessary preparation material including an endless library of practise papers.
